What file formats do you accept for transcription?
I accept audio and video recordings in MP3, WMV, AIF, M4A, MOV, AVI, AMR, WMA, OGG, and WAV. I also accept physical media (tapes, CDs, SD cards, etc.).
What is the turnaround time?
Transcription jobs received by 2 PM Central Time, will be delivered within 2 business days, unless the audio recording is longer than one hour or is very complex. If you have a more urgent need, please let me know and I will work with you to meet your deadline. Please contact me for an estimate for a longer recording.
How do I get started?
Contact me for a free 20 minute consultation so I can begin transcribing your work.
Who will perform the transcription work?
Superstar Support will transcribe your audio.
How does Superstar Support ensure quality?
Each transcription is reviewed by several proofreaders to ensure quality and accuracy.
How much does Superstar Support charge?
There is a minimum charge of 5 minutes audio time. I charge .01 cent per word. Please see the chart below for an example breakdown of details. Every job is unique, so the exact numbers in the equations below are average and approximate:
5 minutes audio time =1 page = 800 words = $8 page = $.01 per word
30 minutes audio time = 6 pages = 4,800 words = $48 = $.01 per word
1 hour audio time = 12 pages = 9,600 words = $96 = $.01 per word
Prices include proofing 1 time and formatting.
Additional revisions and proofing after forwarding to client for review will be charged at the regular rate of $35 per hour. If Superstar Support is unable to convert files to MP3 files for transcription, we will charge $35 per hour to transcribe.
